Hip-Hop superstar Kanye West took tweeting to a whole ânother level by posting approx. 100 messages over a duration of about two hours earlier today. Included among his tweets was a seemingly sincere apology to Taylor Swift. Get the scoop below.
Kanye Westâs Twitter marathon began around 10-hours ago, and lasted for a solid 2-hours. The âMonsterâ rapper had a lot to get off his chest, tweeting about the repercussions of interrupting Swiftâs acceptance speech almost a year ago at the VMAs. Letâs take a look at some of Westâs tweets.
There were a few tweets before this one, but this is the one that really got the ball rolling:
Man I love Twitter… I’ve always been at the mercy of the press but no more… The media tried to demonize me
There are just too many of them to post, so here are a few of the most intriguing. TMZ offers more insight into Kanye Westâs Twitter episode in this article, check it out here!
You’ve got the Media play… Who benefitted off of the moment?
MTV? JAY LENO? BEYONCE? ALL FORMS OF MEDIA? TAYLOR? KANYE WEST? Who gained? Who lost?
Humanity and Empathy are 2 of the 4 principles at facebook. Those were the 2 principles I was missing on that evening
And they kept on comingâŚ
These aren’t regular tweets… this is stream of consciousness … I want you guys to know and feel where my head is at…
It is distasteful to cut people off as a general rule. What’s the point of dressing tastefully if I’m going to act the complete opposite?
To conclude the tweets Kanye simply wrote, âIâm sorry Taylor,â and just like that the eruption of tweets was over.
It seems to me that Kanye was sincere in all of this. I think he was clever in using Twitter as a tool to get his point across, not only to his followers, but also to the world, because he was aware that the media would jump on a story about him shooting off 100 tweets in a matter of hours. Everybody makes mistakes; therefore, everybody deserves another shot, especially when they are BIG enough to sincerely admit they made a mistake, and that they are sorry. I say we wipe the slate clean, and let West’s actions now, and in the future determine the rest.

Kayne was a self centered jerk before the Taylor incident. So he apologizes for thinking only of what he wants to do and say for one moment, but to me an apology means you are truly sorry. I think he is more sorry about the backlash on his career and he will always do what he wants. The only thing that might change is he is think twice about doing it on LIVE tv to someone more popular than him.

I think Kanye is a typical sexist rapper who thought he could disrespect women and get away with it and guess what it blew up in his face thanks very much to the oh so strong Beyonce who was not afraid to fight against his machismo!
By the way I don’t think all rappers are sexist but you can’t deny its a running theme in a lot of rap songs THINK ABOUT IT!

People, please. He did something wrong. He apologized. And honestly, I didn’t even know who Taylor Swift was before that happened – her career blew up after that. She won a Grammy for album of the year, for Pete’s sake and I heard the album – it was not that good or original, in my opinion. When people apologize for something that is CLEARLY not life-threatening, they should be forgiven.

First joeann, the word is “RACIST” and second how is racist?? just because he insulted a girl that just happened not to be black? this has nothing to do with this situation. I hate when people bring skin color into the picture when it is not even pertinent.
anyway I’m glad he apologized but it took him whole year??? better late than never I guess, but still…

That right Arielle, and he can’t argue that he never got the chance, but I am sure he had like a million even if he didn’t want to personally he could have send her some apology flowers, apology note or even an apology car

I remember seeing it as it happened…it was arrogant out outrageous and his ego really showed at that moment. Sooo he apologizes now..isn’t that …special..and I do think race played a small part of it..throw in testosterone..and arrogance…what he said and how he did it…go ahead brush it under the rug..sing on playa lol
