Kara DioGuardi Is Off American Idol (Video)

Kara DioGuardi is no longer a judge on American Idol, reports state. Now fans are left wondering what the future of the show holds, and who will be on the judge’s panel. See some related photos and video below.

With the dramatic news that Simon Cowell will no longer sit atop his position as chief heckler on Idol, the fate of the show was in question. It was bad enough to lose Paula the season before, but how could the show go on without Cowell? Well, now we’ve been handed yet another shocker.

Kara DioGuardi has confirmed that she will no longer be on the American Idol payroll:

“I felt like I won the lottery when I joined ‘American Idol’ two years ago, but I feel like now is the best time to leave.”

Many viewers liked her gentle encouragement, and the insight she offered. It was a nice change from the typical Simon-Paula arguments we had grown accustomed to.

Insiders report that the show may return to the traditional three-judge format, with Randy as the only original member. It has been rumored that Jennifer Lopez will join the show along with Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler.

I just can’t imagine the show being half as entertaining without everyone’s favorite lop-sided flattop sporting Brit. I can’t picture Tyler or J. Lo being as witty as him, and we all know Randy is usually pretty laid back. I’m guessing the show will lose whatever steam it has left, and eventually go off the air.

I think they had something going with Ellen, people like her personality, and she was always positive. She could have been the show’s saving grace. Ah, well.
