James Fawcett: Farrah Fawcett’s Father

August 30, 2010

James Fawcett, Farrah Fawcett’s father has reportedly died. Dad and daughter are reunited in a much better place above, finally free of all hardships together. Find out more saddening details and see photos and a video right here.

James Fawcett

It is sad but comforting news that the father of his own angel, Farrah, has died at the age of 92. Be sure to check out pictures and videos below.

As a biography, not much is known about James Fawcett, Farrah Fawcett’s father. He was 92 at the age of his death, passing away at his home on August 23, 2010.

According to reports, James Fawcett, 92, passed away at his Houston, Texas home last monday, over a year following the death of his sweet baby girl, Farrah. His funeral was held in Texas last Friday and those in attendance did include his grandson, Redmond O’Neal but not Ryan O’Neal. Why didn’t he pay his respects you may ask? Apparently the two “had a falling out” after the death of his daughter. That’s really depressing.

Also, RadarOnline says that now that James is deceased and “was left $500,000 in Farrah’s Estate” the inheritance will be given to the Farrah Fawcett Foundation, even though her father’s obituary “asked that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in his name and not his daughter’s charity”. Hmm, interesting. It is said that James is survived by his second wife, Rosenda Sofia Fawcett.

This is James’ story. I’m not quite sure how come there seems to be so much estrangement within their circle, but I do feel so sorry for this family of fame and feud. At least we certainly hope that James Fawcett, Farrah Fawcett’s father, and his beautiful daughter can rest in peace. You may leave your best wishes for all their loved ones in the comment box below. Also, see photos and a video clip of his daughter’s farewell below.

I logged onto the Internet for news about Farrah and just found out about this. I just had to say my piece. My prayers are with both his grandsons, both the one through Farrah and the one through his other daughter, Diane Fawcett Walls (she died in 2001). Mr. Fawcett is finally reunited with his wife and TWO daughters. There has been controversy over the alleged mismanagement of monies in Farrah’s estate, which would have been conveyed to the Farrah Fawcett Foundation after the appropriate sums were disbursed, as per Farrah’s trust document, to her son, Redmond, her nephew, her father and her old University of Texas boyfriend, Greg Lott, who she kept in touch with. Her “Chasing Farrah” producer, Craig Nevius, has filed suit in a Los Angeles court against her former business manager, Richard Francis, alleging mismanagement of funds for the Foundation. I have been following this matter and believe that these monies are being diverted to certain individuals not named in Farrah’s trust document–I won’t name these individuals, but they know who they are, I know who they are and I think many of you reading this know who they are. Perhaps this is why the request regarding donations was made; The American Cancer Society was one of Farrah’s favorite charities. Ironically, Francis is also being sued by Kate Jackson, Farrah’s friend and “Charlie’s Angels” co-star, alleging mismanagement of HER finances (Farrah recommended him to Kate).
