Fantasia Barrino Good Morning America Interview (Video)

August 24, 2010

Today on Good Morning America Fantasia Barrino broke her silence literally two weeks to the day after her attempted suicide. If you missed the show never fear I have the video plus some pictures of Barrino too.

Fantasia Barrino

Fantasia Barrino’s Good Morning America interview was in my opinion heartbreaking and informative. Fantasia admitted that her will to live crumbled once reports of her affair with Antwaun Cook, who we all know is or was married at the time, surfaced in the media. She went on to say that the scandal combined with six years of pent up frustration just became too much for the American Idol winner.

The 26 year old year talked about being in the public eye and the toll the last six years have had on her. In fact the part that caught my attention was when she said this about being in the public eye.

The general public doesn’t “understand, they see the glitz and the glamour, and everything’s so perfect, but we’re human and we go through things.

Although I agree that the public doesn’t know what it is like to be famous or in the spotlight when you choose a certain career path like Fantasia did it comes with the territory and you know that when you get into that profession. I am not belittling what she is saying or what she went through I am just simply making a true statement. I feel for her I do but we all make choices and have to live with them.

Fantasia Barrino’s Good Morning America interview is something you should see and you can in the below video. The singer did say she is working with a life coach and I for one wish her all the best.

Those are my thoughts on Barrino breaking her silence I know you have some too so let me know what you think.

Why is it anyone’s business anyways who she dates or becomes involved with. married or not..if she was your nieghbor or the clerk at the store you would pay her no mind. she is human, makes mistakes and has a right to some privacy and respect.

Wow, you have to give her credit for having the guts to go on GMA after everything that happened. I guess she learned from Tiger that you can’t just sit back and let the media tell the story–or they’ll ruin you!
