It’s never good to find a cancerous tumor but for Michael Douglas? He is said to be very optimistic despite this year’s upsets. Be sure to check out pictures and videos here.

According to reports, Michael Douglas throat cancer is treatable. A spokesperson for the 65-year old actor has said that he will undergo chemotherapy and will reportedly make a full recovery. Thank goodness!

Thankfully, the tumor, although cancerous, does not “appear to be life-threatening”. The Oscar-winning actor will endure eight weeks of chemotherapy and radiation. It is uncertain as to what “type” of cancer it is nor when the actor would start the treatment process. A representative for Douglas was unable to provide any other details relating to his illness.

In a recent statement, Michael shares:
“I am very optimistic.”

He apparently is not too worried about the outcome of his condition, so that’s comforting. Coming up, Douglas can be seen in his upcoming role in Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps as Gordon Gekko later this fall. This movie is sure to be a must-see, due out this September!

We wish you the best of luck to Michael Douglas throat cancer and his anticipated treatment and a quick road to recovery!

Tidbit: His son Cameron Douglas was sentenced back in April for heroin possession and conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and cocaine to five years in prison.

    Dear Michael,

My husband Skip, also 65, has throat cancer and will undergo 7 weeks of radiation and 6 weeks of chemotherapy commencing the first week in Sept. The doctor’s prognosis is really good. I know the treatments will not be fun but hang in there, good times will be again I’m sure.

    Hi Michael

All the very best, I’m a Swansea girl the same as Catherine, although I now live in Ireland

I was diagnosed with throat cancer in February and have been through 33 shots of radiotherapy and 2 rounds of cisplatin – not easy – finished on 7th May 2010 – I was very lucky that the side effects of treatment were very mild on me, but it can be fearsome but you’ll get through it

    Dear Michael,
In a meditation this morning, I sent both you and Cameron buckets of healing love! I visualize a veil that covers you both. I send love to the cancer which is actually created from fear- love dissolves fear and it will disappear if you do the same. FOr Cameron, he’s crying out for help. This is a cry for love or an act of love – I’d say a cry for love. God bless him and may he find the way.
You’re both on the path and you’re both guided. The strength is in you both. Love & Light to you and your entire family.
I’m 48 Michael and I’ve watched your Dad (who I loved) and you……….you’re brilliant and you’ll shine for years to come. Please know this.
    Be well and God Bless.
    You too, Cameron.
