James Gammon’s wife, Nancy Jane Kapusta, is now a widow. On July 16th, 2010, her actor husband James passed away at the age of 70 years old. James was suffering from cancer of the adrenal glands. It has not been confirmed as to what ultimately caused his death. Read more and see photos here.

Meet Nancy Jane Kapusta, James Gammon’s wife. While there is not a lot of biographical information about Kapusta out there, what we can tell you is that Nancy was a devoted wife to her actor husband, whom she was married to since 1972. She was a huge support to her husband throughout his career. James passed away at the age of 70 years old on Friday July 16th, 2010.

James and his wife were living in their daughter’s home in Costa Mesa, where he died. He had been suffering from cancer of the adrenal glands and the liver.

Nancy’s husband James was a well-respected actor who was best known for his movie role in the 1989 comedy Major League. He also had some memorable roles in “Urban Cowboy,” “The Milagro Beanfield War,” “Leaving Normal,” “Ironweed,” “Silverado” and “Cold Mountain.”

Gammon was also memorable on the small screen with roles on “The Waltons,” “Bagdad Cafe,” “Homefront” and “Middle Ages.”
James also had a passion for theater. Actor and director Paul Koslo said about James, “He did a lot of movies and TV, but I think his great presence and power was on the stage. He always had something unexpected, riveting and real.” James was talented in all facets of entertainment and will be missed by many of his counterparts and his family and fans.

    My Deepest Condolences to Nancy and Allison and Amy…I went to high school with Allison for a short period in time in Temecula, Ca Her Dad was a great man and a wonderful actor…He was very kind to me, and was a great dad. His family and friends and fans will miss him dearly…I just found out about his death tonight watching the Emmy’s and was saddened by the news. Had to pay my respects to his family.
