Meet Ragan Fox, a Big Brother 12 gay cast member. Fox was born on May 9, 1976 (age 34) in Long Beach, CA and is a very smart dude.

While not a lot of biographical information about Ragan is available at this time, what we do know is that he is a gay poet and an assistant professor of communication at California State University, Long Beach. After graduating with a B.S. and an M.A. from the University of Texas at Austin in 2001, he went on to earn a Ph.D. from Arizona State University in 2006.

According to his Facebook page Fox says, “I teach graduate and undergraduate courses in Rhetoric and Performance Studies. I have two published books, with a third on the way. My research has been featured in Text and Performance Quarterly, the Journal of Homosexuality, Qualitative Inquiry, Theatre Topics, Western Journal of Communication, and a bunch of different anthologies.”

So just what is Ragan’s strategy to win Big Brother 12? He says, “Don’t rock the boat until I have to. Float until war is declared and the floaters align with strong players who are perceived to be bigger threats. Form a secret alliance about two weeks into the game. Don’t win too many competitions but don’t obviously throw them.”

He adds, “I love to make people laugh. In my world, there’s nothing a well-placed fart joke can’t cure. Humor is how I roll with the punches.”

So what do you think about Ragan Fox on this season’s Big Brother? Is he the saboteur as many are guessing?
