Al Gore, Molly Hagerty And A Happy Ending Massage?

Al Gore, Molly Hagerty, and an alleged ‘happy ending’ massage has swept the news world for the last few weeks. Now we can finally attach a name to the salacious claims. Get the story here, and see photos and video below.

Al Gore

The ever-so-trustworthy National Enquirer ‘broke’ the story a few weeks ago that an unidentified woman came forward with some nasty claims about the former VP.

The unknown woman claimed to be a massage therapist who had ‘worked on’ Gore back in 2006. During one of their appointments, she claims, he attempted to ‘force himself on her.’ Most wrote the story off as nothing more than a ridiculous paid interview—especially after it was revealed that she requested up to $1 million for the piece, but this week the story is gaining momentum.

RadarOnline has now revealed that the woman making the claims about Al Gore; Molly Hagerty, will out herself in the next edition of the tabloid king. In the upcoming issue, she says:

“Al Gore is a pervert and sexual predator. He’s not what people think he is. He’s a sick man.”

What’s more, our buddies over at The Hollywood Gossip have published a photo of the woman holding up a plastic bag with some ‘stained paints’ in them that allegedly resulted from their October 2006 appointment. Ewwww.

So why did she wait so long to come forward? According to an AP report, her attorney did in fact contact authorities a few months after the alleged incident, but she refused to work with detectives. Then, in 2009, she apparently gave a statement to police indicating that the former VP had made an unwanted advance.

Here is what the woman says happened while she was doing some abdominal work on him:

“The woman said Gore grabbed her hand and shoved it toward his pubic area. She alleged he later tried to have sex with her and began caressing her before she squirmed out of his grasp.”

I have a feeling we will be hearing much more about the alleged Al Gore, Molly Hagerty incident in the coming days. Are you buying her story? Check out a video related to the claims below.

Molly Hagerty decision to provide massage therapy whose behavior she determined in her professional opinion was inappropriate and altered by alcohol are a violation of the Oregon State Board of Massage Therapy code of ethics. I hope police will review those standards with her original 2-hour taped interview in mind. From my perspective as a licensed massage therapist practicing in NY and CT, she placed her financial interest in getting paid for her $500+ massage and the interests of the hotel above the physical/emotional safety of her client. Massage is contra-indicated for a client who acts inappropriately or appears under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Providing massage therapy to a person whose senses are dulled by drugs or alcohol can result in injury since client feedback cannot be accurately gauged. Confronted in the doorway by what she tells police was inappropriate behavior and evidence of drinking, Molly Hagerty tells police she went ahead with her 3-hour session trying to “talk him down.” This is arrogance on her part. Had she adhered to the Oregon massage therapy board’s code of ethics, Ms. Hagerty would not have worked with a client whose behavior in her professional opinion was inappropriate. Her 2-hour audiotaped interview with Portland police is available online at the National Inquirer. I urge every licensed massage therapist to hear it.

Well, gosh, there was evidence of “drinking” on Gore’s part, but not intoxication.
Now, ideally, she should have terminated the session after evidence of inappropriate behavior, and she said she would have done so in the typical circumstance. But you just don’t cut off services to Nobel Prize Winner Al Gore because he gives a lingering hug. The accuser is spot on to say she would have suffered professional consequences (as she will now!) arising from her accusation.
