Katherina LaNasa, formerly Dennis Hopper’s wife, shared only a few years together with Dennis, but as a result of their union they had a son (Henry Lee Hopper) who was the light of their lives. Unfortunately, today May 29th, 2010, it was reported that Dennis lost his life to cancer at the age of 74. Read more about LaNasa and see photos of the American actress here.

Meet Katherine LaNasa, formerly Dennis Hopper’s wife and current spouse of French Stewart. LaNasa was born on December 1st, 1966 in New Orleans, Louisiana. (Interestingly enough, her father is a plastic surgeon, a good man to have around especially while trying to make it in Hollywood and/or for a little nip/tuck action after you pop out your kids.)

Katherine attended both the North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York, New York and is a trained ballet dancer. Katherine had a profound passion for the arts and it wasn’t soon after school that she found her place in acting. She has had many guest starring roles on television where you may have seen her show off her acting chops. Such shows include CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, ER, Justice, Two and a Half Men, and Seinfeld to name a few. For The Guardian fans, you may remember her as Kim McPherson. Her biggest role was that as the lead on the canceled NBC show Three Sisters.

LaNasa was married to Hopper from the years of 1989 to 1992. They had a son together named Henry Lee Hopper who was born in 1990.

In 1998, LaNasa married French Stewart, whom she met on the set of 3rd Rock From the Sun during a guest appearance.

Our condolences go out to Katherine LaNasa and Henry Lee Hopper as they mourn the loss of Dennis who lost his life after fighting a difficult battle with prostate cancer.
