Reportedly, the Cleveland Indians pitcher was injured during the third inning and taken off the field and transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital. Be sure to check out photos and videos below.

As a biography, David Huff was born in San Diego, California on August 22, 1984 so his age is 25. He is 6’2″, weighing 215 pounds. He is most-known as the left-handed pitcher for MLB’s Cleveland Indians (born August 22, 1984 in San Diego, California) is a Major League Baseball player for the Cleveland Indians. Huff graduated from Edison High School in Huntington Beach, California and attended the University of California Irvine and the University of California, Los Angeles. He was eventually selected to play in the MLB for the Cleveland Indians making his debut on May 17, 2009. Prior to his professional break, he played for the minor league with the following teams: Mahoning Valley Scrappers, Kinston Indians, Akron Aeros, Buffalo Bisons, and Columbus Clippers.

According to a recent update, the Cleveland Indians pitcher is being treated at the New York Presbyterian Hospital for injuries resulting from Yankee Alex Rodriguez’s line-drive off the bat. He reportedly was hit right above the left ear but was “fully conscious upon arriving at the hospital and didn’t suffer any memory loss.”

After the incident occurred, Huff fell to the ground as the ball ricocheted into the right field of the stadium. Immediately, the team’s trainer and medical personnel tended to David as he lay still on the pitcher’s mound.

It is said that Rodriguez “took a knee behind the mound” and threw his headgear as he anxiously waited with his head down before he returned to the dugout.

After six minutes of uncertainty, Huff was taken off the field by a stretcher with the support of a neckbrace, but he did give a “thumbs up” while fans stood respectfully in awe and adoration.
