You know they say, three’s company? Third times a charm? The Three Amigos? No, Todd Bridges is not dead, but he does weigh in on the death of his on-screen brother, Gary Coleman. Be sure to check out photos and videos below.

As a biography, Todd A. Bridges was born in San Francisco, California on May 27, 1965 so his age is 45. He also goes by the names Mud Bone and Willis. He is most-known for his role as “Willis Drummond” on the television sitcom Diff’rent Strokes. At the age of six, Todd had a interest in acting and landed his first job on a Jell-O commercial. He was able to break-through as a one of the first actors of color to have a reoccurring role on The Waltons and Little House on the Prairie. Following such superstardom, he appeared in the following television series: Fish, Diff’rent Strokes, The Love Boat, Facts of Life, Hello, Larry, Battle of the Network Stars VI, Circus of the Stars, and Roots. Because Bridges was oftentimes compared to his role as Willis Drummond on Diff’rent Strokes, he found it difficult to obtain a job. The stress of the hardships, caused Todd to become involved with drugs and legal troubles. This put a damper on his goals of finding a suitable role for the actor. Later in life, Bridges has turned his life around and is now sober and works as and actor, director, producer, and motivational speaker to kids around the nation addressing the risks of drug abuse and peer pressure. He is co-founder of Little Bridge Productions with his brother. Furthermore, Todd married his wife Dori Smith on May 25, 1998 and together, they have a son named Spencir.

As the unfortunate news of Diff’rent Strokes star, Gary Coleman, continues to touch the world, cast-members, including Todd Bridges, share their thoughts and feeling on the death of a loved one.

Charlotte Rae, whose role as Coleman’s housemaid shared her feelings of his unexpected death:

“I was with [Gary] the first year of Diff’rent Strokes and he was the reason we were such a big hit. He was the centerpiece and we all surrounded him. He was absolutely enchanting, adorable, funny and filled with joy, which he spread around to millions of people all over the world.”

In addition, Bridges expressed:

“It’s unfortunate. It’s a sad day. It’s sad that I’m the last kid alive from the show.”

Todd Bridges and Conrad Bain made this show extra special in its longevity. The show began in November of 1978 and aired its final episode in March of 1986. That’s phenomenal! For a complete list of the series’ cast-members, click here.
