As a fan of television, I am happy to announce that Alex Graves will be added to Steven Spielberg’s dino drama set back in prehistoric time as the “Terra Nova” director. Such a huge honor for an incredible talent. Find out more exciting details of the upcoming series and see photos and a video right here.

Fox will take on the ancient era for a 13 episode series traveling back to prehistoric times in 2149 A.D. This is going to be dino-riffic! Be sure to check out the picture of Alex Graves (above on the far left) and videos below.

Alex Graves is most known as a writer, director, and producer for television. He has been recognized for his work in: The West Wing, The Nine, Fringe, The Practice, Journeyman, Ally McBeal, and Sports Night, to name a few.

The brilliant new series will hopefully begin taping by the end of the summer in the land down under, beautiful Australia. In an effort to bring these extinct creatures back to life, Terra Nova director, Alex Graves will join: executive producers Brannon Braga, Steven Spielberg, Peter Chernin, Aaron Kaplan, Craig Silverstein, and Kelly Marcel in a journey to resurrect an era so long ago.

According to reports, a colony of people are in search of “a calmer, greener place in the past,” so they return using the future’s greatest technology to the year of 2149 A.D. in hopes of finding a new way of life.

Graves became one of the top contenders for the directing position, and following a group of meetings with the production team, he eventually was selected and accepted the offer to become the Terra Nova director. Because the upcoming series will incorporate “extensive post-production and visual effects” Fox has not been able to yet schedule its premiere. However, rumor has it that the network may be pushing for its debut following next year’s Super Bowl and use the biggest sporting event to date as a perfect tool for promotion.
