Siohvaughn Funches is suing mad! Dwyane Wade’s wife may be estranged from her NBA husband superstar, but with an A-list actress on his arm and in the sack, she’s fuming. Funches has some pretty interesting claims including a $50,000 “emotional distress” claim that she has submitted on behalf of her children. Read more of the messy divorce details and see photos here.
Meet Siohvaugh Funches, Dwyane Wade’s wife. Not much biological information is known about Siohvaugh at this time, but what we do know is that she met Dwyane at Harold L. Richards High School in Oak Lawn, a suburb of Chicago, Illinois. The two were high school sweethearts and went on to marry shortly after. It was in 2007 that Wade filed for divorce.
The couple has two children sons Zaire Blessing Dwyane Wade and Zion Malachi Airamis Wade.
This divorce has been a nasty one with accusation after accusation ensuing. It was back in February of 2009 that Wade threw a bit fat lawsuit out there after Siohvaugh claimed that she got herpes from Wade after he engaged in an extramarital affair. She also alleged that he abandoned the children.
About the nastiness of the divorce, Wade publicly said, “I keep my personal life my personal life. You try to keep it as private as you can. When things leak out, it’s not always the truth. Some is. All you can do is continue being who you are. A lot of things have come out about me, and people are going to think what they want to think. But at the end of the day, no one knows what’s happened in my life to get to the point where me and my wife, our family, not being together.”
It was claims that just came out today that have Wade’s new girlfriend Gabrielle Union at fault. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Siohvaugh is saying that Union “engaged in sexual foreplay” with Wade in front of his young children. Yikes! This all supposedly went down while on an “unsupervised visit to his Miami home.”
In addition to that, Funches is saying that the “extreme and outrageous conduct” that Wade and Union engaged in has created havoc on her oldest son. She is claiming that her son has had to seek medical treatment for stress and anxiety.
About the claims, Union has responded with a classy statement. “Each and every allegation made is entirely false. These false accusations were previously made approximately one month ago in family court. Not only was Ms. Union not named a defendant at that time but the court ultimately rejected these claims as frivolous. Gabrielle apologizes to the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois for tying them up with erroneous claims when there are real victims who should be receiving the legal attention they need.”
Wow. Sounds like one hot mess! It seems in any relationship end there is one side, the other side and the truth. If the allegations are true, Siohvaugh Funches has every reason to be a tad ticked off!
