We all know how much of a whirlwind this year has been for Gosselin, especially now that she is in a bitter custody battle with her ex-husband Jon Gosselin. On April 13th, 2010, a Kate Gosselin Today Show appearance took place as the mother of eight talked about her crazy life, her experience on Dancing With the Stars and the fight of custody for her eight children.
And of course, Kate has a book out to promote called “I Just Want You to Know: Letters to My Kids on Love, Faith, and Family”. And yes, she did talk about the concept behind that. Money? Kate explains, “This idea actually came to me when I was driving a few month ago. I just wanted them to really know how much I love them. It’s not just a cop out, it’s really what I feel in my heart.”
Because of her stint on Dancing With the Stars, her ex husband Jon is calling her an “absentee parent”. But Kate fires back with “I’m on the first flight out as soon as [DWTS] is done.” In fact, Kate is saying that she’d rather be home with her kids cooking and baking for them. She says, “I’ve got to work harder now than ever because I am a single mom. In my heart, I’m always in my kitchen, baking and cooking for my kids, and I’ll always be there. It’s a struggle to be here [in New York], to be anywhere. It is a struggle to be here. The emotion that you see is because I would rather be at home with them.”
Mmhmm.
