Today marked the celebration of one’s life. A life that is gone too soon. Marie Osmond’s son was laid to rest. Find out more saddening details and see photos and a video here.
Michael Bryan’s funeral was held today, and his life remembered by family and friends.
Family and friends of the showbiz family honored and remembered Marie Osmond’s son at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel in Provo, Utah where hundreds of loved ones gathered for funeral services. According to reports, Thomas S. Monson led the service and uncle Donny Osmond gave a tearful eulogy. Others who spoke include six of his seven siblings. Michael was adopted by Marie and her ex-husband Brian Blosil. Together, they adopted four other children and biologically have two children. Marie and her first husband, Steve Craig, had Michael’s older brother, Stephen Craig.
His twenty-six year old brother, Steven Craig shared, “He was an intricate part of our family,” adding, “Each member of our family and every person here is better for having met him.”
Twenty-year old, sister Rachel Blosil, expressed, “He was a man of his word. He wasn’t a talker, he was a doer. He was reliable. He knew my hopes, he knew my dreams, my secrets, things that nobody knows. He was my best friend.”
Michael reportedly jumped from his eighth floor apartment in Los Angeles last month, ultimately resulting from his apparent alleged severe depression.
It is said that the church was beautifully decorated with various arrangements of flowers while a slide show showcased 18-year old Michael as a young boy, so innocent and happy.
It appears that it was a lovely, memorable ceremony. Such an emotional day for many. As Donny Osmond said, “Thank you for those beautiful 18 years”. It’s so heartbreaking to see a life lost at such a young age. My prayers go out to all of you, as Marie Osmond’s son is laid to rest.
