Judge on “America’s Got Talent,” David Hasselhoff, 57, has announced his departure from the show to pursue a different path in his career.

E!Online reports that Hasselhoff said, “I am proud that I was part of making ‘America’s Got Talent’ the No. 1 rated show for the past four summers. It’s been a rewarding experience and now I’m thrilled to be able to follow my dream to do my own TV show, which will be announced very shortly.” A reality tv show series featuring the infamous David Hasselhoff featuring himself, perhaps?

It has not yet been confirmed on who will take his seat as the next “America’s Got Talent” judge, however, NBC does intend on filling his spot by season five’s return next summer. NBC issued a statement saying, “David’s been an integral part of the success of America’s Got Talent and we are sad to see him go. We wish him all the best with his new show.” How very nice, as do we!

Hasselhoff also thanks his friend and executive producer, Simon Cowell, NBC, and Fremantle for giving him the opportunity and experience.

The popular reality tv show will not be the same without seeing the famous judge’s face…but any guesses to what the actor’s new show could possibly entail? As long as it doesn’t involve late night cocktails and messy cheeseburgers, his new show could be a success.
