Singing sensation Rihanna supposedly rang in the New Year in Dubai with her new beau, baseball star Matt Kemp.

As a biography, Matthew Ryan Kemp was born in Midwest City, Oklahoma on September 23, 1984 so his age is 25. He is a MLB outfielder for the Los Angeles Dodgers. He went to the Midwest City High School in Midwest City, Oklahoma and was involved in baseball and basketball. In 2003, Kemp was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the sixth round and signed a contract with them on June 5, 2003. On May 28, 2006 he made his major league debut with the Los Angeles Dodgers playing against the Washington Nationals in Washington, D.C. at the RFK Stadium. He was given the nickname “The Bison” for his second base steal during a game played against the Atlanta Braves on May 29, 2006. He lives in Los Angeles during his off-season.

Rihanna’s boyfriend may be the right man for her to help her past troubled relationships. It is said that they appeared to be rather cozy while in the United Arab Emirates. Reportedly, “Rihanna and Matt are starting to get serious – he even followed her to Dubai for New Year’s,” a source has said, “Rihanna likes him because he’s a gentleman.” Well, she deserves a real man, that’s for sure!

Of his ideal mate, Kemp has said he looks for someone who is, “independent, pretty and got to have good teeth too.” Sounds like a match to me!

It is said that Rihanna reportedly paid $500,000 for a private performance on New Year’s Eve in Dubai at the Emirates Palace.
