According to reports, Canadian Dr. Anthony Galea, who treated Tiger Woods and a multitude of other professional athletes is being investigated by the FBI. He is suspected of administering athletes with performance-enhancing drugs.

Reportedly, earlier this year in February and March, Dr. Galea had visited Woods’ home in Florida on four separate appointments to provide therapy due to the golfer’s 2008 knee injury that was prolonged to heal.

It is said that Dr. Galea will appear in court on Friday, in Toronto, for charges including supplying a substance marked illegal through the World Anti-Doping Agency.

While Dr. Galea and his assistant were trying to enter into Canada from the United States, Canadian and U.S. authorities found Human Growth Hormone (HGH) and Actovigen, and on the assistant’s person, other illegal drugs were found, as well. Following the discovery, in October, 2009 authorities from Toronto bombarded the doc’s office.

Dr. Galea lawyered up with defense lawyer Brian H. Greenspan and he says that his “innovative treatments do not break any laws or violate antidoping rules in sport”. He also stated, “We’re confident that an investigation of Dr. Galea will lead to his total vindication.” Greenspan said he, “was never engaged in any wrongdoing or any impropriety. Not only does he have a reputation that is impeccable, he is a person at the very top of his profession.”

It has been reported that not one of the allegations against Dr. Galea have been confirmed in a court of law

His lawyer is certain that the investigation will prove his innocence. We will see if he is right.

Even though Tiger Woods’ doctor is being investigated for drugs, at least this gives the golfer a break? Tell us what you think in the comment box and see pictures and a video.

a cheat is a cheat is a cheat. If he cheated on his wife in the way he has… and that he admits.. to think he would not take some drug that would speed his recovery and/or would give him an advantage.. would be like sticking your head in the sand and refusing to see it. To think golfers aren’t using steroids… is insane and irresponsible. When one drug can give one golfer the tinyiest advantage..that translates to HUGE BUCKS… and golfers are of a better moral character than all the other doping sports figures. Give me a break. And put Tiger at the head of the class..If he could hide a dozen misstresses…. think he couldn’t hide some illegal performance enhancing drug. Of course he COULD and DID!
