It is rumored that Courtney Love has apparently lost custody of her daughter, Frances Bean Cobain. Custody was awarded to the late Kurt Cobain’s mother and his younger sister. Reasons are unclear at this time.

As a biography, Frances Bean Cobain was born at 7:48 am at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California on August 18, 1992 so her age is 17. She weighed 7 pounds 1 ounce. She was named after the guitarist for “The Vaselines” Frances McKee. Her middle name reflects what her father thought she resembled on an ultrasound, a “Bean”. Her godparents are “R.E.M” lead Michael Stipe and actress Drew Barrymore. Following the birth of their child, child welfare services removed two-week old Frances from the home because of rumors “taken out of context” from an article published in Vanity Fair, featuring Courtney Love’s pregnancy, suggesting she was using heroin during pregnancy. Cobain and Love was given back custody due to lack of significant evidence. After Courtney’s hospital stint in 2003, Cobain’s mother was awarded custody of baby Frances but months later, custody was returned. April 1,1994 was the last day Frances saw her father. He was staying at Los Angeles’ Exodus Recovery Center he had entered the day before. A week later, he was found dead at his Seattle home. Later that fall, Frances attend Happy Medium School in Seattle, now called Giddens School. For Kindergarten, she attended Highland Hall in Northridge, California. In September 2005, she gave her first interview to Teen Vogue. In January of 2006, she could be heard in i-D magazine. In August of 2006, for ELLE magazine, she is pictured wearing one of her father’s brown sweater and his pajama pants that he was married in. In February of 2008, she appeared in Harper’s Bazaar magazine. In 2008, sheworked as an intern for Rolling Stone. On September 2, 2008, Frances celebrated her 16th birthday, a party held in the “House of Blues” restaurant in West Hollywood, Los Angeles. “Mindless Self Indulgence” performed a private show, themed “suicide”. This symbolized her transition from childhood to adulthood. They gave away prizes, reportedly costing Love over $300,000.

TMZ reports that Courtney Love’s daughter and her guardianship was established on Friday because Love evidently is unsuited to parenthood. The court selected Kurt Cobain’s mother, Wendy O’Connor and his younger sister, Kimberly Dawn Cobain as guardians.

Although, it has not been confirmed the reasons relating to establishing guardianship, her new keepers will support her personally and financially. The judgment made is believed to be because Love could not provide the way a parent should and was incapable of doing so.

No further reason as to why Love lost authority over her daughter has been revealed. However, guardianships of this kind typically occur when a parent is not able to take care of his or her children.

Moreover, it is said that Frances is planning to move to New York City to attend a university there.

We wish Courtney Love’s daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, the best of luck! Leave us your thoughts in the comment box and see pictures and a video here.
