Michelle Duggar gave birth to a premature baby girl they named Josie Brooklyn Duggar via an emergency c-section. The “18 Kids and Counting” mom was not due until March 20, 2010.

It is said that a representative from TLC said, “Michelle, who has been in the hospital recovering from a gallstone, was taken to the OR for an emergency c-section.” Reportedly, they welcomed their daughter Josie Brooklyn Duggar into the world at 6:27 last evening, weighing in at 1 pound, 6 ounces.

We’re told Michelle is resting comfortably and the baby is “stable” — although she’s in the neonatal intensive-care unit at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

In addition, the rep shared, “The most important thing right now is for Mom and baby Josie to get as much rest as possible. The family is grateful for all the prayers and well wishes during their recovery.”

It appears that Michelle Duggar and baby are in “stable” condition at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, even though baby Josie is in the neonatal intensive care unit.
