Last month, actor James Caan filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences.

As a biography, not much is known about Linda Stokes. She married actor James Caan in October of 1996. On November 6, 1995 their first son, James Arthur Caan, was born. On September 24, 1998 they had their second son, Jacob Nicholas Caan. They first filed for divorce in 2005 but reconciled. However, the couple filed for divorce again in November of 2009.

James Caan’s wife filed papers in Los Angeles County Superior Court, asking for not only full physical custody of their minor children but also spousal support to cover her attorney fees, as well.

It is said that she will, however, allow James joint legal custody and rights to visitation.

It appears that this is not the first time, Caan has pursued divorce from Linda. The first time was attempted back in 2005 but never finalized.

James Caan has had three previous marriages that all ended in divorce. His first wife he married was Dee Jay Mathis/Mattis, from 1960 to 1966. Together, they produced a daughter they named Tara A. Caan. She was born on November 5, 1964. His second wife was Sheila Ryan and they wed in 1976 and divorced in 1977. Together, they had a son on August 23, 1976 who they named Scott Caan. His third wife was Ingrid Hajek. Together, they had a son on April 10, 1991 and they named him Alexander James Caan and later divorced.

We wish the best of luck to James Caan’s wife, Linda Caan, and to the “Godfather” actor himself. Leave us your thoughts in the comment box and see photos and a video here.
