The British military has shut down its UFO hotline to save money that will now be used towards helping the troops in Afghanistan. Britain has about 9,500 soldiers over there and the Ministry of Defense believes that with the UFO office being shut down, they will be able to invest that money, about $73,000 per year, into the troops. This has upset many citizens, who believe that UFO research is very important. – Fox News

Okay, so back to the UFO hotline being shut down. ,” a ministry spokesman said. ” “None of the thousands of UFO sightings reported over the years have ever provided substantiated proof of the existence of extraterrestrials. There is no defense value in investigating UFO reports.”

However some citizens are still upset. Roy Lake, founder of the London UFO Studies group says, “I think it’s a stupid thing to do because this could create a threat to national security. We take this quite seriously. We know that sometimes things can be explained as natural phenomena but there could be that one thing that’s not. I think the government knows damn well what’s going on up there and they’re covering it up.”

I think the resources are definitely much better spent toward the troops. What’s your opinion? Tell me in the comment section below!
