This is definitely a sign of the times—or the collapse of modern society, you be the judge.

In a move that has surely outdone the JK Wedding Dance, Dana Hanna aka TheSoftwareJedi, actually took the time to update his Facebook and Twitter statuses while standing at the altar.

Most brides would have probably taken the phone and rammed it somewhere unfavorable, but his wife Tracy actually thought it was humorous (yes she still married him even after that). Sounds like Dana picked the right one!

And no, it wasn’t a planned publicity stunt. Dana claims that he uses Facebook to keep in touch with relatives around the country. In fact, said relatives even learned of their engagement through a Facebook status update. So what did the tech-savy groom tweet whilst spending his last moments as a bachelor? Here ya go:

“Standing at the altar with @TracyPage where just a second ago, she became my wife! Gotta go, time to kiss my bride. #weddingday”

At least his tweet conveyed some sense of jubilation—thanks to the exclamation mark after ‘wife.’ I personally think it is kind of cute. If you were one of his followers on twitter and were unable to make the wedding, you would have been able to experience the moment along with all of the guests, right?

Just for kicks I included another tweet from Dana Hanna, who is no doubt enjoying his 45 seconds of fame. This one apparently hit the web Monday:

“Just changed over the laundry for @TracyPage and was thrown off by the fact a bra was in there. Not used to living with a woman again.”
