Okay, so let’s set the record straight. It appears that there is a bit of confusion about a possible engagement between actress Ayda Field and singer Robbie Williams. However, it is reportedly a joke. No engagement. Just hearsay.
As a biography, Ayda Field was born in Los Angeles, California on May 17, 1979 so her age is 30. She attend school at Harvard-Westlake School and Duke University. There she studied International Political Science and Economics. She is fluent in English, Turkish, French, and Italian. Her career took off when she appeared on the soap opera “Days of our Lives”. She has guest-starred on a few television sitcom’s including: Eve, Sunset Strip, Back to You, and The New Boss. The actress also appeared in “Making It Legal”. In 2008, she replaced Sarah Lafleur on ABC’s untitled pilot. On November 27th, 2009 singer Robbie Williams proposed to the actress in Australia on the radio. William’s mother, confirmed the engagement. It is said that the couple have been dating for three years, however, the singer has denied these allegations.
According to reports, on Friday, Robbie Williams’ girlfriend joined the singer for a live interview with the Australian radio station known as the “Kyle and Jackie O” show to promote his new album called “Reality Killed the Video Star”. Apparently, the radio station’s presenter Jackie Henderson said that Sydney has a notoriety for celebrity engagements. After that being said, Williams looked at his girlfriend and he jokingly asked, “Is there anyone you want to get married to?” She answered, “This is so awkward.” Williams asked, “Will you marry me?” She facetiously said, “Yes, I will marry you”.
This skit is what lead to the ultimate confusion of an actual engagement. However, Williams’ mother, Jan Williams, shared that her son Robbie was planning on popping the question adding that he allegeldy bought an engagement ring and that this interview was just coincidental.
About the fake proposal, Jan commented on her future daughter-n-law stating, “I’ve always wanted a daughter-in-law,” adding, “I don’t think it will be that far in the not-too-distant future, but that’s all I’m going to say on that.”
It has been reported that earlier this month, the singer told ITV’s “Loose Women” that wedding bells were in his near future. When asked if a proposal was in the works, he responded, “I might be. It could be on the cards, yeah.”
