Meet Alan Osmond, he is Donny Osmond’s brother. Last night he cheered on his dancing favorite and winner of this season’s “Dancing With The Stars”. Find out more exciting details and see a video and pictures here.
It comes as no surprise when Donny Osmond and his partner Kym Johnson were crowned the winner of “Dancing With The Stars” on last night’s finale as his family and fans watched.
As a biography, Alan Ralph Osmond was born in Ogden, Utah on June 22nd in 1949 so his age is 60. He was a part of the musical group “The Osmonds”. He is the oldest of seven children. The singer has multiple sclerosis so he does not perform except on a rare occasion. Osmond married Suzanne Pinegar and together they had eight sons. He is Mormon and his children serve on Mormon missions. His son David, also suffers from multiple sclerosis and performs in the Osmonds second generation singing group which he leads. On January 28th, 2009 his son David received a golden ticket to Hollywood for the eighth season of American Idol. In 2000, Osmond received the Dorothy Corwin Spirit of Life Award from the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints and serves on its council in Orem, Utah for the Orem Suncrest Stake.
Donny Osmond’s brother watched the finale closely from his Orem, Utah home, while Marie joined their champion brother on the dance floor after Donny and his dance partner, Kym Johnson proudly held their trophy.
After the dancers’ Season Nine’s win, Osmond said, “If you saw the work that went into this season.” He said that it had been an “emotional roller coaster” for him. He asserted that his dancing partner, Johnson, is incredible and that his DWTS experience is one of his most prized moments in his career.
Season Nine’s DWTS winner defeated competitors Mya and Kelly Osbourne.
