Ireland’s football star Thierry Henry, 32, is being called a cheat for his infamous hand-ball and rightfully getting away with it. This incident has made headlining news across the world.

Reportedly, the football forward star apparently used his hand to set up what they call a “William Gallas” goal at Wednesday night’s game at the Stadium of France as a reported 15,000 disappointed fans watched. It is said that the game’s referr, Martin Hansson allowed the goal resulting in Ireland’s loss 2:1 on aggregate.

Because of Thierry Henry’s alleged hand-ball cheat there has been suggestions of a replay by Fifa and the French Football.

Full-back teammate, Patrice Evra, came to the defense of Henry’s hand-ball criticism and said that his teammate should be adored rather than looked down upon because he took part in guiding his team to South Africa, stating the issue, “That is madness.”

Former manager Arsene Wenger had this to say of the matter, “What is terrible for the referee is that he gave the goal knowing something was not regular, yet he got no help,” adding, “From the unanimous reaction of Ireland he knew something was not right. He asked for some help from the linesman who could not give him help.”

Let’s just hope that since this is such a big issue in the sport of football that these type of problems no longer happen! Leave your thoughts on the Thierry Henry hand-ball cheat and see the video here of Ireland vs France.
