Laila Rouass is a contestant on “Strictly Come Dancing” alongside her professional dancing partner Anton Du Beke.

As a biography, Laila Rouass was born in London on June 22, 1971 so her age is 38. Her parents are Moroccan. She is the oldest daughter of seven children. Laila began modelling when she was 17 years-old. She attended the Lee Stasbeg Theatre and Film Institute before becoming a VJ in India for Channel V. Rouass’s broke out as an actress when she got the opportunity and was cast in a film called “City of Dreams”. However, the actress became most-known for her role in Amber Gates in the cult ITV1 tv series called “Footballers’ Wives”. She can be seen for her roles in British soap operas including “Family Affairs”, “Hollyoaks”, and also in: I Dream, Casualty, and Meet the Magoons. The actress has starred opposite Meera Syal in Meera Syal’s “Novel Life Isn’t All Ha Ha Hee Hee”. She is noted as FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women in the World for 2004 and 2005. The actress roled as Egyptologist’s Sarah Page in the television series “Primeval” in 2009. Rouass had a small role in “The Four Feathers” that featured the late Heath Ledger. In 1990, the actress married her husband Abdeslam Rouass in Tower Hamlets, London. In 2003, the couple divorced. It is said that businessman, Nasa Khan and Rouass had a religious ceremony, but have not been legally married. In February of 2007, the couple had a baby girl who they named Inez. Later, the couple separated. The actress is currently single. Rouass is a contestant for “Strictly Come Dancing” with her professional dancing partner Anton Du Beke.

It is said that the Footballers’ Wives star was injured during training and after she was examined for what is reported to be an ankle injury, the doctor said that she could continue competing for the show, however, it could be painful, but should not cause any more further damage by doing so.

Rouass said of her injury, “I was told by doctors that I could dance and there wasn’t going to be any long term damage, but they said it would be extremely painful and tough to get through the whole dance.” Makes sense, right? She also said that since fans have voted to keep the dancing couple still in the competition, she was of course going to give it her best effort despite the pain.

When asked if she could be anywhere in the world at any given time, where would she be and who would be with her, she relied, “I’d be in Morocco, somewhere in the Sahara, with my daughter. It’s a beautiful country, the people are welcoming, the food is fabulous - and I have roots there. My father is Moroccan and I have fond childhood memories of holidays there.
