The 2009 AMA’s will take place at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles this Sunday night. We’ve got the scoop on the performances, the full list of AMA nominees, and what to look out for in this year’s show.

So who is performing at the 2009 AMA’s? The big story this year is of course the come back of one of the greatest vocalists of our generation; Whitney Houston. She is set to hit the stage in what promises to be a memorable performance.

Another performance to look out for is Janet Jackson’s. If you saw her open the VMA’s this year, you know she can still pack a punch on stage. Her emotional tribute to Michael Jackson was unbelievable, and people can’t wait to see what she has in store for us at Sunday’s show.

That’s just the list they have provided so far—I’m sure they’ll throw in some surprises.

I have a feeling we’ll hear Michael Jackson’s name quite a few times during the show. He is nominated for an amazing 5 categories. I personally think he deserves it. We’ll see how many are given in his honor throughout the night.
