The internet is abuzz over the Couples Retreat UK poster - racist or not? Two of the actors who are featured in the movie, Faizon Love and Kali Hawk, both of whom are Black, have seemingly disappeared from the UK’s version of the flick’s movie poster. Read more below.
Hmmm. I wonder who decided over at Universal to leave Faizon Love and Kali Hawk (both of whom are Black) off of the UK’s version of the Couples Retreat movie poster? It leaves many to think that removing the actors from the poster was racist.
Universal has come forward and claims that they wanted to “simplify the poster and make it more appealing to the British public”. Um, okay…. See for yourself, the U.S. and U.K. versions of Couples Retreat over at Bumpshack.
It looks like Ashlee Simpson Wentz has herself a new gig - she is headed to Broadway and will play Roxie Hart in the musical Chicago. She starts a 10 week run on November 30th.
