There have been a number of riveting viral videos this week. We had the drunk woman who stumbled and fell into the path of an oncoming train. Then there was Elizabeth Lambert’s vicious UFC-style soccer playing. Well today we have another rousing video, this time of a beaver relieving itself on Debby Turner Bell.
It all happened when the beaver was brought in as a visitor on the Early Show. As the handler tried to hold the animal still for the segment, it squirmed around vigorously. Debbye said “we have an incontinent beaver,” then walked around the back of the man, and just as she makes her way behind the beaver BAM, she is sprayed! Her reaction is priceless.
Debbye Turner Bell let off a nice yelp, and said “I just got splashed in the eye!”
The handler is hilarious too as he tries to keep it together for the cameras. He comes off a bit like Billy Mays as he enthusiastically says “…now this is just a beautiful thing, she’s marking her territory! It’s fantastic!”
I think the beaver did it on purpose—it was timed just perfectly. Talk about precision. CBS wasn’t shy about the video either, and put together a nifty little clip that includes slow motion footage of the spraying.
