Bridget Pericolo had set aside her wedding ring. Found by her husband Angelo unknowingly in a cup, into the trash it went. Reports are saying that Bridget had placed her ring in that cup and Angelo threw out with the garbage before he left for work.

Sure, this man may have been trying to be helpful by doing his chore, but after he realized he threw out the ring with the trash, he immediately contacted the sanitation company what had happened.

Bridget told CNN affiliate WPIX, “I looked for the cup, it was gone. I called Angelo and asked him where the cup was, he said, ‘Oh my God, I threw it out.’”

After sanitation workers went through ten tons of trash, the wedding ring was found. Sanitation workers sorted through 10 tons of trash to recover a wedding ring accidentally thrown away by a New Jersey couple. Two workers by the name of Edgar Lopez and Joseph McGee were the sanitation workers who refused to give up on finding the ring until they had it in their hands.

The Pericolos recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. After 55 years together, we are guessing that Angelo was forgiven.
