Lucia Anne Gibson’s photos have finally hit the net. The newborn daughter of Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva is cute as can be. See the photos and video here.
I suppose she could also be called Lucia Anne Grigorieva, but we’re not quite sure yet. I would simply call her adorable. She was born October 30th in Los Angeles and weighs in at around 6 lbs.
Lucia is Mel Gibson and girlfriend Oksana’s first child together. The happy father has six sons and a daughter from a prior marriage to Robyn Moore. Grigorieva also has a 12-year-old son named Alexander.
It turns out that Lucia came about 30 days before her estimated delivery date. Oksana was reportedly sitting at home when the baby decided it was time to come out. She was rushed to the hospital, and within a matter of hours, she had a healthy baby girl.
Everything seemed to go smoothly. About the experience, she said:
“It was fairly straightforward, as births go. It happened very quickly.“
…and how is father Mel doing with the new baby? She continued:
“He (Gibson) came a few hours later because he had to fly from New York… He is ecstatic. He is in love with her already. He’s very hands-on. He has been very doting and nurturing.â€
The proud mother plans to teach her child Russian, and revealed earlier this week that she may be writing a children’s song book—inspired by her new baby. Isn’t that special?
