The family walked the red carpet and posed for pictures this week at the premiere of ‘Old Dogs,’ a Disney movie that stars all three of them. It seemed a triumphant return to the spotlight for John Travolta, whose tragic loss was highly publicized and even led to criticisms of his faith.

The appearance also served as a debut for their 7-year-old daughter. About Ella Bleu, ‘Old Dogs’ co-star Seth Green said:

“(They) seemed really excited about promoting the movie and introducing everyone to Ella, this being her first film.”

So how is the family doing after the abrupt loss of their son? Green said: “They are great, awesome. They are a pretty incredible couple.”

Travolta, who is a vocal supporter of Scientology, has apparently turned to his faith for support. USA Today reported that they are “healing” with “Daily religious counseling sessions.”

Another big name co-star in the film is Robin Williams, who seemed very impressed with Ella Bleu Travolta’s performance:

“It was so wonderful, I wanted to get my kids on set but it was too late. The most wonderful thing was watching John watch his daughter act, you could see how proud he was. She’s really good. It’s not like he was ’see how amazing she is’ because she actually is amazing. She’s got his depth, playful yet deep.”

I have to say it is very courageous of them to pick up and keep moving after their son’s fatal seizure accident. It must be great to work closely with your family on a project like that, especially after all they have been through—don’t you think?
