Jim Nantz ex-wife just hit the alimony lotto: Lorrie Carlsen Nantz will receive nearly $1 million a year, and a stunning mansion. Read about Jim Nantz ex-wife here.
The sportscaster and his wife just worked out the terms of their divorce in Connecticut this week. The relationship reportedly began to fail after it was revealed that Jim was allegedly involved with a 29-year-old woman last year. Jim and Lorrie have 16-year-old daughter together.
It works out to roughly $72,000 a month in alimony, plus roughly $1,000 a week in child support for the next 7 years. Cha Ching! Sounds like a ton of cash, right? Well, originally Lorrie was seeking close to $1.5 million a year, so the settlement is significantly less.
Reports state that their 26-year marriage had been in trouble for some time. It turns out they had a few squabbles over Jim’s career. The NY Post wrote that Jim felt Lorrie wasn’t fully behind him, and even urged him to refuse a hosting gig on The Early Show. According to Jim, she wouldn’t even let him hang up a gifted painting of himself. Boo Hoo!
Oddly, Jim’s lawyers insist that his alleged affair played no part in the dissolution of their marriage, which I find extremely hard to believe.
What is it with sportscasters these days? Is there some sort of curse that leads to (alleged) infidelity with younger women? Steve Phillips do you hear me knocking? Sheesh fellas, get a hold of yourselves!
I was unable to track down photos of Jim Nantz ex-wife Lorrie Carlsen Nantz, but I’ve thrown in a related video below.
