Who can forget the season finale of The Bachelor earlier this year, when Jason Mesnick chose Melissa Rycroft over Molly Malaney, but then later, at the After the Final Rose show, Mesnick broke it off with Rycroft and wanted Molly instead. Whew, let me catch my breath there for a second. Yes, that was quite a shocking turn of events, eh?
Since many were none too kind to Jason after what he did to Melissa on national TV, he and Molly, of course, have kept quite a low profile. Understandably so! While in New Zealand last week, Mesnick, on bended knee, asked Malaney for her hand in marriage. Were there film crews around to capture the moment? Don’t think so. She is a Grand Rapids, Michigan native who is 24 years of age. After graduating from Grand Rapids Catholic Central High School, she went on to attend Indiana University. She currently lives in Milwaukee, but that may soon change as Molly Malaney, Jason Mesnick’s girlfriend and soon to be wife, may be moving to Seattle to join him and his son Ty.
