For the first time ever on Youtube, U2 will live stream their sold out Rose Bowl concert for the whole world to see at their convenience.
96,000 people are set to attend the concert, so this will be the first time such a large show was streamed live for the world.

The show is set up to be interactive, with opportunity to Twitter about it and donate to the AIDS charity (RED). The band’s manager Paul McGuinness said in a statement,

“The band has wanted to do something like this for a long time. As we’re filming the LA show, it’s the perfect opportunity to extend the party beyond the stadium. Fans often travel long distances to come to see U2 — this time U2 can go to them, globally.”

I think this is awesome, and I know I will definitely be tuning in. It will be great to Tweet and interact with people from around the world as we all watch the same incredible live show.

The concert will stream across five continents on Sunday October 25th at 8:30 p.m. (PT). You can watch it here. If you happened to miss U2’s Youtube concert live-stream, you can watch two replays, available on www.U2.com and YouTube.
