January Jones’ GQ cover has quickly spread across the internet as it shows a sexy side of the Mad Men star.
The cover features January in a very revealing unzipped leather jacket. Jones sat down with GQ during a flight from Chicago to LAX, where over the course of six beers she gave quite a fun interview.
January is a former model who quickly made the transition to acting with out any training. She talked about her first L.A. boyfriend, later revealed as Ashton Kutcher, and how unsupportive he was.
“The guy I was dating when I first got to L.A. was not supportive of my acting. He was like, I don’t think you’re going to be good at this. So—f#@# you! He only has nice things to say now–if anything, I should thank him. Because the minute you tell me I can’t do something, that’s when I’m most motivated.”
January also talked about the relationship she had with Julian Steinberg and his mother Laura. She says that even after she and Julian had split, Laura was still like a mother figure to her and they remained close.
“Laura taught me how to hold my knife and fork and to be a lady. To keep my forearms on the table–never my elbows–and place my napkin on my lap. She got me out of the models’ apartment, and my Fargo accent was really strong then, so she taught me how to speak.”
