The Miss Plastic Hungary pageant is not your every day ordinary beauty contest. It’s an opportunity to show off just how well you and your favorite plastic surgeon have surgically enhanced your beauty. Learn about the beauty pageant and meet Reka Urban, Miss Plastic Hungary 2009.
You need not apply to be a contestant in the Miss Plastic Hungary competition unless you have gone under the knife and had some real plastic surgery. A botox injection here and there just aren’t enough for your to qualify. Contestants had augmented breasts, reshaped noses and one contestant had surgically adjusted toes.
It seems that surgically enhancement of a woman’s (or man’s) appearance has not always been looked on with favor in eastern Europe. So the founders of the Miss Plastic Hungary contest are trying to change that. They hope to show that it’s about enhancement, not always about unnatural appearance, skin stretched to the point a person isn’t recognizable as a person (see photos below). Contest organizers say it has to do with appreciating perfect physical symmetry in young, beautiful women, blah, blah, blah. Of course, the contest also has to do with increasing cosmetic surgery tourism for Hungary, a popular destination for less expensive face lifts and tummy tucks. Not to mention, plastic surgeons are virtually orgasmic over the whole idea.
If you are going to fake your looks, you might as well be up-front and honest about your surgically enhanced appearance.
This year there were 18 contestants between the ages of 18 and 30. They included women from all walks of life, a former rhythmic gymnast, mothers, a firefighter and a number of strippers.
Oddly, or maybe its not so odd, it was hard to tell them apart. They were all surgically perfect.
Contest winners included first runner-up Edina Kulcsar who received a new car. The second runner-up was Alexandra Horvath who won diamond jewelry. Ms. Horvath had been favored to win, but had a boob disaster. She tore a ligament when she fell in her high heels. The accident was attributed to her silicone boob implants. She was taken to the hospital but recovered enough to compete and come in third place.
The winner of the Miss Plastic Hungary 2009 is Reka Urban, Pageant queen. We have very little information for her biography. However, we do know that she is a 22-year-old hostess from Budapest. She won an apartment in Budapest and her plastic surgeon also won awards. Upon winning the contest, Ms. Urban gushed, ‘I’m here to prove that plastic girls can be real too.’ So true, Barbie, so true.

I don’t see the problem. The winner was beautiful. So what if she had gone under the knife? I dont get the stigma of this sort of thing.

I agree with Kail…who cares if she had surgery? A lot of women in normal pageants have surgery you just don’t hear about it…I thought she was very pretty!!!

…i have been noticing over the years that the most wrinkled up women (sorry girls)are the ones that seem to use all of the wrinkle cremes, etc..etc..& too much make-up seems to cause more wrinkles…maybe we should take a hint from the ole-school girls..soap & a face cloth..gently of course…& a light light moisturizer..i always tell my girls, stay out of the sun, drink lots of water..& if necessary, take vitamins, A, C & E..& most importantly, don’t drink & drug..

to me, plastic surgery is beautiful and well done, when it makes you wonder “is it fake or is it natural?” reka doesn’t look fake and i think she’s beautiful, her doctor did an amazing job! congratulations to both of them!
