Jennifer Lopez is delving back into the music scene with a new song, sound and an alter ego. But don’t worry my friends, this new “name” is not supposed to stick as Beyonce’s Sasha Fierce was intended to. Jenny From the Block will refer to herself as Lola, but only for a short while. Now while there are rumors that Jennifer Lopez’s new song “Fresh Out The Oven” starts the beginning of an alter ego, that is not the case. Sure, a brand new site set up to promote the single is already up with a dancing female on the site named Lola, but the persona is not totally J.Lo. In fact, this single is not going to be on her upcoming album release.
A source close to Lopez says, “Lola is just for this song, it’s not her ongoing persona. It’s something fun. She hasn’t become Sasha Fierce [BeyoncĂ©'s artistic alter ego]. There won’t be anything to do with Lola on her Love? album.”
About the new song, Amanda Ghost, president of Epic Records told People magazine, “This is a hot club record that the label loved and Jennifer thought was fun. Jennifer and Pitbull got together and the record leaked. Lola is a fun character just for this song.”
