Kate Gosselin’s TMZ Spoof is actually pretty funny. She did the bit for the Jay Leno Show, which pokes fun at herself, the tabloids, and of course Thirty Mile Zone.
The video begins with a mock setup of the TMZ studio, called JMZ, where an actor caricatures Harvey Levin and his white board. He asks Jay the question: “Who is Hollywood’s hottest mom?” Jay Leno of course responds “Angelina Jolie.” The actor then says it’s actually Kate because “When it comes to kids, Jay, no one can compete with the tabloid cover queen,” whose hair, he says “looks like she fights crime in space.”
I personally think the real TMZ has a funnier take on her hair, which they call “…newly frosted, chunk-striped, bi-level, Flock of Seagulls-humped-a-porcupine, reverse mullet weave.”
To me it looks more like a rare lemur inhabits her head… but anyway back to the spoof.
The video then cuts to Kate loading groceries into the back of her car. She is then ambushed by a group of photographers who get in close and start asking questions like “what did you buy?”
After she gets a little frustrated with the paps, she starts to give them the royal mom treatment. She chastises them for their behavior, and even puts one of the men in timeout in his car. She then totally moms another one of the fake photogs by asking him what he had for breakfast before spit-shining his face. It ends with her shoving one of the men into the back of her van and handing him a stuffed animal.
I have to say it’s a relief to see Kate playing around. Anyone who can make fun of themselves earns major points in my book. Things have really gotten uglier between her and Jon, with allegations that he withdrew thousands of dollars from a joint bank account to the new reports that she actually locked him out of a room in their house that contains their financial documents. I just hope these two can pull it together for their kids.
