The drama of John Edwards continues to get more interesting as time goes on. Not only has Edwards’ former personal assistant, Andrew Young, turned his back on John by selling him out in a tell-all book, but we are now hearing that there may in fact be an Edwards sex tape video to be released.
Andrew Young basically covered for John Edwards when it came to approaching the mistress’s love child situation, claiming the child was his and not John’s. But now that John has left Young on the back burner unappreciated and used, Young is speaking out in a tell-all book, which was reported months ago.
Tim Toben, a former Edwards supporter and friend of Young’s who now lives next door to Young on the rural west edge of Chapel Hill says, “John was his idol — his hero — and probably who he considered his best friend and his mentor. He thought that he had offered the ultimate sacrifice and was left on the curb.”
While we knew the book was being prepared, what is coming out now is that a sex tape may be the latest retaliation against the Senator. Well, apparently a tape does exist as there has been two people who have seen the explicit videotape of Edwards and Rielle Hunter together.
A source says of Young holding onto the tape, “It’s his hole card.”
Now even though Young’s friends said that they had no knowledge of the tape, it is being said that Young has not, to date, sold it. A friend close to Young was confused as to why a tell-all was being written about Edwards’ private life.
The source says Young said, “The question I would ask everybody is ‘What the hell alternative do I have’? Are you just supposed to be kicked mercilessly and never say anything yourself?”
So I’m now wondering, we all know John and Rielle were intimate together. Obviously. But will a sex tape be the final straw for Elizabeth Edwards?
