Calling Dr. Drew! She may have just been on Celebrity Rehab last season, but unfortunately Tawny Kitaen has been struck with the relapse bug. The actress was busted on Saturday, September 26, 2009 in Newport Beach, California for allegedly driving under the influence (DUI). Read more about Kitaen’s trouble here.
She is best known for appearing in 1980s music videos for her future husband David Coverdale’s band Whitesnake, but now Tawny Kitaen has gotten herself into a bit of trouble. Entertainment Tonight has confirmed that actress Tawny Kitaen was arrested last night on suspicion of driving under the influence. Definitely not very cool at all!
According to Sgt. Shontel Sherwood of the Newport Beach Police Department, Kitaen “made contact with officers after operating a vehicle while under the influence.” We aren’t quite sure what that vague statement means. But what we do know is that Kitaen was arrested and released on $2,500 bail.
Kitaen’s last run in with the law was back in 2006 when she was busted for possession of cocaine. The felony drug charges resulted in Tawny having to enter into a drug treatment program to resolve the charges.
Perhaps after this particular arrest Kitaen will be back on the recovery wagon? Thankfully no one was injured or hurt!
