Randy Quaid and wife Evi Quaid have apparently been arrested for burglary! It is said that the National Lampoon’s very own actor’s vacation has come to a screeching halt, literally. Find out more on this story here.
Actor Randy Quaid, 58, and his wife Evi are in the news for supposedly leaving a bill, amounting to thousands of dollars, with a hotel in California resulting in their arrest in Texas. The charge? Burglary.
According to TMZ, the couple were taken into custody in Marfa, Texas by deputies of the Presidio County Sheriff’s Department. It appears that they both resisted arrest, physically and verbally, however the deputies said that they will not be filing any charges.
Because the scandalous duo were previously wanted by officials on other charges including burglary, defrauding a hotelkeeper and conspiracy, felony arrest warrants were made for the Quaids in Santa Barbara, California prior to their apprehension.
Reports say that the Quaid’s deliberately occupied these luxurious rooms and bailed on their bills at various locations including that of the Ysidro Ranch in proximity to Santa Barbara, California as well as hotels like the super “suite” Bel-Air. It appears that their plan of action was, indeed, pre-meditated and carried out which ultimately led to their capture beneath the path of their own destruction.
This definitely fits the bill of burglary, people. It’s said that their “bail” is gonna cost them a hefty $20,000 a piece.
