Honduran newspapers were reporting that Jaclyn Smith had been rushed to the hospital with a self-inflicted gun shot wound to the head on Tuesday, September 22, 2009. Blogs picked up the story and ran with it. It turns out that the attempted suicide rumors were not true and are being retracted all over the internet.
Jaclyn Smith, star of Charlie’s Angels (the original one), was reported to have been rushed to a hospital in Honduras with a gun shot wound to the head after an apparent suicide attempt. She was reported to have been vacationing with her family at her home in Islas de la Bahia when the incident happened (or was said to have happened). She was also reported to have been airlifted to San Pedro Sula Hospital in critical condition. It was reported on widely read blogs as fact. Now, those same blogs are having to retract the reports. That part is fortunately. The unfortunate part is apparently, the woman rushed to the hospital was Jaclyn’s stunt double and the wife of one of Charlie’s Angels producers, Sandra Franklin.
Since her rumored suicide attempt started spreading, her publicist told Radar Online that the rumors are simply not true. In fact, she’s in Beverly Hills, not Honduras at the moment. Jaclyn tweeted about it herself (or someone tweeted it for her on her Twitter account): ‘Jaclyn is safe and home with her family. She is not in Honduras. It is a lie.’
Jaclyn Smith is drop dead gorgeous and her looks don’t seem to diminish with age. Therefore we hate her - not really - I’m JUST KIDDING! She seems like a very nice person and we’ve never heard anything really bad said about her. She’s just one of those people that has it all going on. So we are very happy to be able to report that the rumors that floated about her on Tuesday were simply not true.
