After weeks of seeing previews for Jennifer’s Body, the reviews are finally in. Find out what America thinks about an evil Megan Fox.
It seems like previews for Jennifer’s Body have been out for months, I couldn’t wait for this movie to come out so the commercials would end. Now that the highly anticipated film has hit theatres, America is weighing in on Megan’s ability to portray a character other than a hottie bent over a hood.
Instead, we have a hottie possessed by evil, who lusts after fresh flesh, and makes out with girls. Who doesn’t want to see that? It seems as though Megan has kept her core audience of young boys, especially with a 30 second make out scene with co-star Amanda Seyfried.
Overall, Jennifer’s Body is pulling in average ratings. People seem to think that it doesn’t have enough scary, gory moments to keep the die hard horror fans happy, and there are not enough funny moments to make it a must see comedy. It falls somewhere in the middle, with no clear direction.
IMDB movies users rate it at a 5.8/10, while Rotten Tomatoes has it as a 5 out of 10. Despite mediocre ratings, Jennifer’s Body definitely has potential to be a cult classic, as Megan definitely has a strong fan following. Check out a preview, as well as the make-out scene below..

I just watched Jennifer’s Body. I completely agree in the sense of direction in the movie genre. There were some really funny moments, some gory moments, and some What the? moments. If it had more consistency it would have been a better movie. Megan Fox has some hilarious sarcastic moments, they come naturally and I give her props. I think that the movie died after the climax scene, and the special effects seemed a little overworked towards the end. The resolution was solid and powerful, it was an OK movie. Although, I must say I expected a lot more from Megan. She is a gorgeous girl with the talent, I say “Ok, next one”.

Diablo Cody completely swung and missed with this screenplay. Filled with Juno-like one-liners that only appeal to the immature high school audience, Jennifer’s Body failed in both the comedy and horror genres . Cody seemed to focus on her particular style of dialogue (which didn’t smoothly carry over from Juno) instead of concentrating on the importance of a solid story. The success of Juno gave this script the opportunity to be put into production and Megan Fox fans will contribute to the film’s opening weekend box office sales… One out of four stars.

I saw Jennifer’s body last night. There was one scene when Megan eats this guy and all you could see was her shadow. That was pretty awesome. And the scene with her and Amanda making out kinda made me want a girlfriend to make out with. But really, the movie was a letdown. I thought Megan would try to prove all the haters wrong and maybe get an acting coach or SOMETHING and kick ass. But she really sucked. The only thing she was good at, was being sexy. She KNOWS how to work it. I’ll give her that. But with any scene that required acting, she fell flat. There were two scenes that stick out in my head that showed sime hope in her acting career. One being where she’s in a van about to be sacrificed and another of her being sacrificed. She did a pretty good job. But with all of her acting, she went with the surface. She acted out cliches. I don’t think Jennifer’s Body’s script gave her enough to go on but she really could have gone further.
