Several celebrities are celebrating birthdays today, including the ever so beautiful Jada Pinkett Smith, seven time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong and actor James Marsden. Find out what they’re up to now, plus a full list of celebrity birthdays below.
Jada Pinkett Smith turns 38 years old today. The wife of film star Will Smith, who debuted in June as Christina Hawthorne, R.N. on TNT’s HawthoRNe, was thrilled to play the role of Nurse Hawthorne, since her mother, Adrienne Banfield-Jones, is a Nurse herself. Pinkett Smith not only stars in the series, but serves as executive producer for the show as well. The series is currently on hiatus, and has been renewed, so look for its return in 2010. Meanwhile, Pinkett-Smith’s son, Jaden Smith, is currently on location in China for his new movie, Kung Fu Kid, co-starring Jackie Chan. It is set to premiere in the summer of 2010.
Lance Armstrong is 38 years old today. The seven time Tour de France winner took to his Twitter page last Wednesday and tweeted, “Hey LA – get out of your cars and get on your bikes. Time to ride. 7:30 tomorrow am. Griffith Park, LA Zoo parking lot. See you there…” Ask and ye shall receive – over 500 bicyclists took him up on his offer and showed up the next morning. They followed Armstrong around a section of the park, with the ride lasting about an hour.
In June, his girlfriend, Anna Hansen, gave birth to their son, Maxwell Edward Armstrong in Aspen, Colorado. They split their time between homes in Colorado and Austin, Texas. Armstrong has three other children with his ex-wife, Kristin Richard.
James Marsden turns 36 today. The handsome 27 Dresses star will appear alongside Cameron Diaz in the horror/thriller film, “The Box”, based on the short story, “Button, Button”, by Richard Matheson. Marsden offers up his own synopsis of the flick:
“It’s this simple idea that if someone were to offer you wealth, would you — at the expense of taking somebody’s life — press this button and receive a million dollars? Someone you don’t know will die. Would you push this button?”
The movie will premiere in theaters nationwide on November 6th.
