Taylor Swift On The View Talks About Kanye West Incident (Video)

Taylor Swift was on The View this morning to talk about the Kanye West incident at the VMA’s. She is such a gracious girl! Check out the video of Taylor Swift on The View here!

The country singer appeared on The View this morning to talk about her VMA win and the incident that took place with Kanye West. She handled the whole thing with such class, and grace – much more grown up at 19 than Kanye is himself at 32.

On Sunday night, Taylor was nominated for, and won the Video Music Award for Best Female Video of the Year. She was the first country artist ever to win this award, and it was also her first VMA Award.

In her interview this morning, she said she was very excited to win, to thank the fans, and even to see Kanye on Stage – at first. Then she grasped what was happening and realized she would not have the opportunity to give her acceptance speech. She said her thought process was along these lines,

“Wow, I can’t believe I won… This is awesome… Don’t trip and fall… I’m gonna get to thank the fans, this is so cool… Oh, Kanye West is here!’,” Swift told the ladies on The View, “‘Cool haircut… What are you doing there? And then, Ouch. And then, I guess I’m not gonna be able to thank the fans.’ ”

Back stage, Taylor was reportedly in tears, and was clearly shocked and shaken by the incident, but knew she had to perform live in five minutes. Being the professional that she is, she pulled herself together and preformed like nothing happened.

Beyonce, who later won Video of the Year, graciously called Taylor back up on stage to have her moment and deliver her acceptance speech.
As of this morning, Taylor told the ladies of The View that Kanye had yet to reach out to her personally, though he did go on Jay Leno last night and take to his blog to apologize a total of three times. After The View aired, Kanye got in touch with Taylor for what she says was a very sincere apology, which of course she accepted.

I think Kanye is feeling pretty bad right now, especially since Jay Leno asked him what his mother would think. The guy looked so ashamed and sad. So being that Taylor has forgiven him, we can all move on and let the poor guy live with his dumb decision. We all make mistakes; they just aren’t aired in front of 27 million viewers.
