Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at last night’s VMAs was tainted by a Kanye West invasion. Now the young pop-country singer has spoken up about how it made her feel. Find out what she said here.

People are fired up about this one. A 19-year-old girl has just won her first VMA award, and stands in front of millions of people around the world on live television. Then, an egomaniac known for disrupting awards ceremonies takes the stage, bizarre 80s hair and all, and BOOM, a controversy is born.

He snatched the microphone from Taylor Swift, and said:

“…Beyoncé has one of the best videos of all time. One of the best videos of all time!”

MTV even reports that Kanye was toting a bottle of Hennessey around before the show, swigging straight from the bottle (see photo below). He must have been hammered, because Beyonce’s video wasn’t all the great. Doing the choo-choo dance back and forth in front of an all white background while wearing an 80s unitard is not exactly ground-breaking in my opinion. (I do have to give “B” points for allowing Taylor to come on stage with her later to finish what she started, though).

Well, Taylor told Us Magazine how the incident made her feel. What she had to say is about as innocent as the look she had on her face when he snatched the mic:

“Well, I was standing on stage because I was really excited because I had just won the award. And then I was really excited because Kanye West was on stage. And then I wasn’t so excited anymore after that… I don’t know him, and I’ve never met him…I don’t want to start anything because I had a great night tonight.”

As expected, celebs took to Twitter to express their outrage, but I’m a little indifferent about this one. Yes it was classless to steal her moment, but it’s not like he was caught eating puppies or anything. Haven’t we come to expect this kind of thing from him?

Then there’s the obvious fact that we wouldn’t be talking about him if it weren’t for this incident anyway: his last album had a sadly synthetic feel to it because of the overuse of the Auto-tune device, which could even make Gilbert Godfrey a good singer.

How do you feel about it? Are all the harsh tweets from celebs too over the top? Or is it well deserved for a lowbrow move? Give us your thoughts below.

Now there is a hilarious video floating around that combines Kanye’s uncouth actions with those of Rep. Joe Wilson during President Obama’s address to congress. Check it out along with the video of Taylor Swift’s interrupted speech below.
