Daniel Radcliffe Gets Attitude Magazine Cover Treatment

Harry Potter himself, newly 20 year old Daniel Radcliffe graces the August 2009 cover of Attitude Magazine, the UK’s biggest gay magazine. Aside from lending his magical good looks to the cover, Daniel sat down for an interview, where he talked a lot of politics with the mag.

He said that he’s not a fan of the Conservative or New Labour parties. At only 20 years old, Daniel has not had a chance to vote in a general election yet, but says that next year he will cast his ballot for Nick Clegg of the Liberal Democrat party. On voting turnout, he said:

“I think the reason why people don’t vote is because the politicians are all so central now, it doesn’t seem to matter who you vote for.”

Daniel is very much not a fan of the current British Prime Minister Gordon Brown or Tory leader David Cameron. He states David Cameron is no different from Tony Blair, which is unacceptable in his eyes.

The straight actor, who is dating actress Laura O’Toole, also spoke out about homophobia:

“I just loathe homophobia. It’s just disgusting and animal and stupid and it’s just thick people who can’t get their heads around it and are just scared. I grew up around gay people entirely. I was the only child in my class who had any experience of homosexuality or anything like that.”

Get your facts straight. the voting age in the UK is 18. Next year will simply be the first general election since he turned 18.

Ok… I’ll change that. Every article I read implied what I wrote. Sorry I’m not up to date on voting laws and election schedules on a country I don’t live in.

IN a country… whoops. Multitasking clearly is not my friend this morning.
