The two and a half hour MJ public memorial service, was a massive, emotional and stirring tribute to the King of Pop who died suddenly at age 50 on June 25, 2009 at age 50, just days before he was staging a major comeback in London.

The Michael Jackson funeral ceremony video reveals one of the largest such public services for a public figure in recent history and was witnessed live in person, as well as on television and the Internet, across the world.

The King of Pop is survived by his children; Michael Joseph Jackson Jr, Paris Michael Katherine Jackson, 11; and Prince Michael II, (aka Blanket Jackson) as well as his parents, brothers and sisters. All were present at the public memorial service.

The closed casket MJ memorial service featured many speakers who delivered eulogies, many tearful (Brooke Shields) some with touches of levity and humor (Magic Johnson).

Others who delivered eulogies include Rev. Al Sharpton; Rev. Lucious Smith; Berry Gordy; Kobe Bryant; Martin Luther King III and Bernice A. King (children of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.); Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee; Queen Latifah.

As seen at the end of the Michael Jackson funeral video, family members also spoke; the music legend’s brother (and former Jackson 5 member) Marlon Jackson delivers heartfelt words, and finally at the very end, Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris Jackson, has tearful words in tribute of her father. Said Paris Michael Katherine Jackson: “Ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine and I just wanted to say I love him so much.”

Here are some notable quotations from several of the other speakers at the public memorial service.

There were live performances by music industry luminaries including Mariah Carey and Trey Lorenz; Jermaine Jackson (brother of Michael Jackson); Usher; Stevie Wonder; the Andrae Crouch Choir; Jennifer Hudson, John Mayer, and Lionel Richie. Newcomers who performed were Britain’s Got Talent Shaheen Jafargholi singing the Jackson 5 classic, Who’s Loving You, which drew worldwide notice and an invitation from Jackson to perform at what would have been his comeback concert series in London O2 This Is It, and Judith Hill who was also a member of the planned concert series, leading the Heal the World performance.

Here are several Michael Jackson funeral photos.
